I recently got to try out my new Simms Skeena gloves I purchased in December. The first morning I wore these gloves, the air temp. was 22 degrees. I was pleased that the fleece lining did a good job of keeping my fingers warm
These gloves are extremely flexible and I had no issues stripping line or picking up small items. I didn't try to tie with them other than using my knot tool, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easily I could handle my 6x tippet.
The neoprene gasket cuff is a nice feature that seals tightly around the wrist. I did not have occasion try it out but I'm quite sure it would have kept the water out. These gloves are superior to similar gloves I have owned in the past, ( namely Seal-Skinz). They provide excellent gripping power and dexterity. I was even able to use my forceps without removing my gloves, something I could not do with other brands.
These gloves are sized true according to the reference chart. Be sure to take an accurate measurement to ensure a proper fit.
