The Pull-Over BWO imitates the adult mayfly. Mayflies have two adult stages. When they first emerge from the water they are called Duns (the subimago stage). Next, they molt into the spinner (imago) stage in which they mate and die. Sometimes the word "Dun" is also misleadingly used to refer to a brownish gray color in fly tying materials.
