Patagonia Men's R1 Pants
You'll want to keep a pair of these in your pack, one in your gear bag, and another in your glove box so you truly never leave home without them.
These lightweight fleece pants are made from the same comfy, stretchy polyester/spandex fabric as the R1 tops. They feel just as good under waders and rain pants. The high-wicking/low-bulk performance of the R1 Pants is the perfect combination for wading or extended hiking. Features include two front pockets and elastic waist with drawcord adjustment to minimize bulk. Inseam (size M) is 32".
RECYCLED POLYESTER
In 1993, Patagonia adopted fleece into their product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. They were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR® clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health.
Today, Patagonia uses more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene® baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. Patagonia now recycles used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments into polyester fibers to produce much of the clothing.
Using recycled polyester lessens dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators.
