Great rod. Not very pretty.

It has the old-school slow, soft action I was looking for - although it took a few days to get used to it after years of modern, fast action rods. If pretty counts, this might not be the rod for you, but if you want a solid-performing rod that you can cast all day, this is it. Very enjoyable to use and it will remain my back-up rod for lakes.
