Sector Fly Rod: Salty & Sweet! - Winner IFTD 2019 Best of Show!
Can you imagine a rod that casts tight high line speed loops effortlessly and turns over your leader straight into the wind? What about a rod that delivers the fly on target after one false cast and can pick it back up to redirect if the fish changes course? The Sector is intuitive so you can focus on the fish instead of your casting. It's light and alive in your hand and has the touch and feel for short quick shots or subtly floating the fly. Meet the Sector; a hand crafted rod with the very best components!
The Sector Series boast award winning ReAct technology now with new tapers, Carbon Web and the most innovative fly rod components ever created.
The benefits of Carbon Web technology are numerous: It improves torsional stability and rod durability by encasing the unidirectional fibers in a web of ultra-light multi-directional carbon fiber. The fibers help counteract torsional forces and provide improved tracking and power for long line pickups and redirecting casts. They assist in reducing the propagation of micro fractures from stress or impact that can run in unidirectional layups.
The new reliable components defy harsh saltwater environments! They feature all new CeRecoil stripping guides with nickel titanium frames and super slick Zirconia inserts, along with Recoil nickel titanium snake guides for low friction and corrosion free performance. The guide sets are PVD coated in a low reflective coating for even greater durability and stealth. The reel seats are milled from aircraft grade aluminum and feature self-indexing slide hoods, extra deep knurling to easily turn lock rings with soaked hands, type 3 mil-spec hard coat in non-reflective flat black, and line weight engravings for quick rod identification. Flor grade cork grips are turned to our modified wells shape, and the new fighting butts feature a thick soft rubber for greater comfort in tough fights or while bracing on long casts.

Scott’s all new Carbon Web technology increases torsional stability and rod durability by encasing the unidirectional fibers in a web of ultra-light multi-directional carbon fiber. These fibers help counteract torsional forces giving you better tracking and positive long line pickups for redirecting casts. They also help to reduce the propagation of micro fractures from stress or impact that can easily run in unidirectional layups and lead to failure. Combining Carbon Web with Scott’s ARC and multi-modulus lay-ups, creates the newest ground- breaking advancement in fly rod technology. Tech translation: higher performance, easier fishing, and more fun for you.
REC CERECOIL® Stripping Guides combine nickel titanium ‘shape memory’ frames with super slick, high-tech Zirconia inserts for a new patent pending guide that will never corrode, will return to its original shape if bent, and has the lowest coefficient of friction for better line shooting.

Great Tarpon Rod
Tested this in the 11wt and 12wt. Smoother than the Asquith (a bit slower and deeper load). The 12wt feels like a 12wt, and the 11wt casts more like a 10wt.
Scott Sector is a Powerhouse
This is a fantastic rod! I bought the 8wt because I liked the 11wt so much. I was a huge fan of the old S4S. Still am. However, this has a similar feel but is lighter, visibly less bulky, and more powerful. You can feel the load and hold a tight loop while also being able to shoot several yards of additional line. First time I took it out on the pond I stuck a streamer in a tree limb that I didn’t think I could reach by shooting line. It is powerful! Now it’s time to go catch some snook!
Scott Sector 8'4" 10 weight
Beautiful rod. New approach to use of a 10 weight. Lighter, more accurate--feels more like a 8-9 weight of old. This will be a fantastic small tarpon, snook, redfish and false albacore rod.
