Shimano’s proprietary Spiral X technology utilizes triple layer construction consisting of an oblique fiber core layer, a longitudinal middle layer, and a reverse-oblique fiber outer layer. REDUCED TORSIONAL BLANK TWIST keeps the rod tracking true through the casting stroke and equates to unsurpassed accuracy.

Asquith rods ranging from #4 through #6 weights have a smooth, versatile, fast action that falls right between our NRX and NRX LP trout series of rods. G Loomis has increased the power level in the rods ranging from #7 through #12 weight in order to address the demands of throwing longer casts with larger flies in the saltwater.
