SPECTRUM Fly Reel

The stock reel of the SPECTRUM family offers better performance via a new hub design that is larger to increase stabilization. The concave spool surface optimizes line capacity and features true large arbor performance. The machined and anodized aluminum ergonomic handle makes reeling in a fish of a lifetime a pleasure. This series ranges from 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10 in Platinum, Black, Lime, Blaze and Copper (Moscow Mule). The Spectrum Reel replaces the previous 3200 series reels from Sage.

Nice, Lightweight Reel- Overseas building not ideal

Overall this is a great reel. Lightweight, balances well with both my Sonic 9' 5 weight and R8 8'6 5 weight. I use the 3/4 model for my 5 weight rods, which still holds about 60 yards of backing with a WF5 (more than enough for any trout applications short of monster Montana browns). The reel is well made and the drag is solid with tons of adjustability. The only negative of this reel is the location of build- the reel is made in Korea. It's a little tough to swallow paying $300 for an overseas reel when there are American-made reels of equal quality made in the USA. If you're looking to stick with Sage, however, this reel is a solid performer. Can't go wrong.
