Best Euro rod out there!!!

Can’t wait to fish with this new Euro rod.

I haven’t used this rod yet but if its anything like my last Thomas and Thomas contact rod, it will catch lots of fish.

Love the T&T Contact II's

I now own 4 models of the Contact II all purchased from Stillwater and love them all. When I Euro nymph I typically grab the Contact's first.

excellent tool

i get to know this contact II series #4 10.9" since i read some reviews about specialty nymphing rods. Most of them where european made rods, but for me was better to own an american brand, so i did not hesitate when this second version come to the market. Devin Olsen used to fish this rod and that gave me much more confidence to buy it. I am trying to get the #2 10.9" as well.

Versatility at its finest

All I can say is wow…I’ve been looking for a light presentation rod that can sort of doing most everything pretty well. This rod didn’t disappoint. I wanted a 10ft in a 3wt that was stealthy and sensitive in presenting long, light tightline tactics yet can throw dry flies, dry droppers and smaller jigged streamers. The 10ft 3wt version of this rod truly shines in its versatility. Can’t enough about how much I love this rod, impeccable fit and finish doesn’t hurt either.

Ultimate Euro Nymphing Rod!

I purchased this rod to specifically get into the ESN game. It has exceeded my expectations with thoughtful design, incredible feel, and classic T&T build quality. The rod is light and super responsive. It recovers very quickly casting heavily weighted nymph rigs. I was amazed at my ability to feel the difference between ticking bottom and actual "eats". I was able to successfully tuck cast and present by the end of my first day on the river, netting me a beautiful Northern California Rainbow. The rod had plenty of power, particularly fighting this fish in heavy current. The spacing on the guides eliminated any line sag, especially with a Rio ESN Technical line that I received with my credit for purchasing the rod. (Thanks Stillwater!) Thomas and Thomas Contact 2

I have been Euro nymphing for 5 years now, and have graduated to the Thomas and Thomas Contact 2 10'9" 3 weight. I fish New Zealand rivers where you use a 3wt with trepidation, especially when wanting to release the fish in a healthy state. Smooth and light for casting, the T&T Contact 2 has also proved itself to control the fight with a butt section that is powerful enough for the bigger fish. I love having the fighting butt to help absorb big fish pressure.
