The modern Gummy Minnow is made from a new soft, reflective material called "Sili Skin" to effectively simulate baitfish. Anglers find success targeting bonito and false albacore, as well as stripers, snook and other species. This fly is the preferred choice by many fishermen to imitate Silversides and Bay Anchovy baitfish for the fall run of bonito and false albacore that happens from the mid-Atlantic up to New England in the United States in late summer and fall. This size is also effective for tarpon as its tied on a large TMC 600SP.
